Read about Red Stone Hills in Die Burger and immediately decided to do a booking. We stayed in Aloe Gardens Cottage with a view of the farm with the backdrop of the Red Stone Hills. Our accommodation was neat and provided us with everything we needed. Absolute peace and quiet with cows bellowing, hikes up to the mountains and surroundings.... More

We arrived at Red Stone Hills late in to the evening and were not able to appreciate the beautiful scenery until the morning - the views are simply fantastic. We had originally booked in to Aloe Garden but Petro and Hermanus had kindly moved us in to Ostrich Palace as it was slightly larger and had a patio and Braai... More

We did receive tis location from Jeanne, owner and host of Aasvoelkrans in Montagu, driving again for miles and miles and suddenly see the shilled turn left for "Red Stone Hills" into the "bush". After a slow but very doable ride we looked over Petro Potgieter's farm and cottages. Again as in the previous B&B planned a night but stayed... More

A very good place to just catch up with yourself, your family or what ever you need. The cottages is a little distance from each other so you have privacy and can do your own thing. Host are very welcoming and have a very good knowledge of everything.

Red Stone Hills was a chance discovery. As wildlife enthusiasts from Ireland we considered this the nicest place to enjoy scenery, plant and animal life in a friendly and peaceful corner of South Africa. The owners were so welcoming and pleased to host people interested in the environment and imparted a good knowledge of the geology and nature of their... More

We stayed for one night in red stone hills. Lucky us, they gave us an upgrade so we enjoyed the bushman loge. A nice old farmer house with a pretty good interior. Our favorite was the porch with sun in the evening as well as in the morning. Last but not least, the people welcome you with open arms and... More

The cottages at Red Stone Hills are set among some of the most beautiful scenery in South Africa. Every cottage has a different view and you could just relax and enjoy your surrounding while sitting on the verandas. The cottages are self catering and very well equipped with the option of having you breakfast st the farm house(Highly recommended) If you... We were at the Red Stone Hills during our honeymoon. We really loved the cottages. What we really loved was the location and the atmosphere. To sleep in your own cottage with a bbq as dinner (which is by the way very recommended and specially the ostrich fillet, guaranteed success) with only my wife and me was a perfect evening.... More

Although out of the town the cottages, which were spotlessly clean and comfortable, were very well situated to our requirements to explore the area. The owners were most hospitable and the meals were excellent. The scenery in the area is spectacular and well worth a visit. Very restful stay Just a pity that the smell from the interior braai permeated... More

I have been to Red Stone Hills four times and will keep returning because it is simply beautiful! It is close to Calitzdorp (a gem on Route 62), yet far enough out of town to detatch from city-life, to relax and enjoy a farm environment. Red Stone Hills offers breath-taking scenery and the service (including the food) is excellent. The... More
