Stayed here several times now (whenever we pass through Outshoorn) as always it was a great stay with fantastic hosts. Breakfasts with fresh bread straight from the oven. personal owner service and lovely rooms. gardens are magnificent you would never know that you are so close to town. Great for bird watching (now has a hide). Standards never drop here... More

Had an absolutely perfect stay with Des & Liz last New Year's Eve .On arrival we immediately felt totally at home & were most comfortable throughout our unfortunately too short a stay. To say they couldn't do enough for us is a big understatement. Des's expert help over & above the line of duty( we had booked out earlier that... More

We stayed there one night at the end of March. It was very quiet and tranquil place very well situated in Oudtshoorn. The house has a perferct backyard overlooking a river and fields on the other bank. This gives an impression of certain detachment. Coming to more practical issued: the room (actually it was a small house) was clean, with... More

This old colonial house has been converted into a beautiful B&B, the owners are very hospitable and the breakfasts, served in the beautiful garden in the cool of the morning were wonderful. It's location was perfect, right in the heart of the main street of Outdshoon with its many restaurants but with the peace of the large garden a the... More

We stayed in Room 5 for 2 nights on 15 and 20 April 2012. The room and its facilities were great and the outlook over the garden down towards the river was outstanding. The ambience was relaxing and the general atmosphere was comfortable and homely. The amble down to the bird-hide was most enjoyable. Liz presented us with wonderful breakfasts... More

The lovely garden is what really sets this guest house apart, making for a very quiet and peaceful retreat. Our room was comfortable, if not enormous, and for me the honeymoon suite would be better without the kitchen-type sink in the room. The house is in an older style, appealing perhaps to a more mature clientele.

We stayed for 3 nights in rooms 7&10. Very relaxing with great breakfasts and good service. Loved the large garden. Good value and very clean rooms and linen. Owners are great and we had long conversations with lots of laughter. Will stay again.

This is the second time we have stayed at the Yot Club and you can only use superlatives to describe the experience. Des & Liz are wonderful hosts and a very jolly couple. Last time we stayed it was in the separate accommodation away from the house and the facilities etc were fab. We had only intended to stay one... More

We only stayed in Oudtshoorn for one night on our way back to Cape Town, but were really pleased with this choice of B&B. We were staying in a large room seperate to the main house that overlooked the gardens and reeds, with a huge bed. The garden was fantastic, and was perfect for seeing a variety of birds up... More

This was definitely one of the best places we stayed at during out recent 3-week tour of SA. Des, our host, couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful throughout our 2-night stay. Our beautiful room had it's own secluded patio adjoining the main terrace, overlooking the lovelyl tranquil garden - a complete haven for wildlife and humans alike! I was... More
