stayed during the Oyster Festival in 2011. Didn't have high hopes, but was still disappointed. Some of the staff were quite pleasant, but others like the night watchman were rude. Rooms were small with lots of noise from neighbors - paper thin walls. Breakfasts were not good. wouldn't recommend.

Perhaps you don't have to compete hard for customers in Knysna. Certainly the Wayside Inn doesn't try too hard. Given it's price - it was poor value compared to places we stayed in for less money. The service was indifferent, breakfast limited and the rooms over due for an update. I'm sure you can do much better in Knysna.

Old b&b and that shows. Squeeking fan keeps you up all night... Good location in Knysna (walking distance to Waterfront). Breakfast was pretty poor. Beds were good and things were pretty clean. Everything's very basic, don't expect a luxurious stay. For a fewe days it's not too bad.

Close to main street with bars and restaurants and quick walk to harbour. Rooms very basic and old but I guess it's not that expensive. Breakfast not great.

We stayed here for one night and found it just by driving by. It was in a great location on the main street with plently of bars and restaurants nearby. We had a ground floor room with a balcony out the front. Room was a good size. Breakfast was fine. Staff were lovely.

Room was ok but there was no safety boxes. Breakfast was very very poor.. Wont use it if I go there again!
