Awesome place, friendly staff, great dog! Had a good time and will recommend it for backpackers. Spent there 3 days, which was perfect! Clean, comfortable, a nice bar... you feel like you're part of this family! I was sad to leave!

I can highly recommend this backpackers. Hermanus is beautiful, the people are very hospitable and there are some nice bars and restaurants. The people who work here are really nice and friendly. I was on my own and they introduced me to a lot of their friends, which was really nice. I had an absolutely great time here!

nice place to hang out. chilled out crew, make you feel as part of the team cool pool in the backyard very good braai in the evening - highly recommended good lounge with everything a backpacker needs - a guitar, books to read, comfy sofas, telly and wi-fi

Besides being an excellent self catering place to live in, the courteous staff full of life genuinely added to the flavour of living well. Being Indian and from Sikh religion celebrated one of the best Christmas ever.. beginning Dec 24 until Dec 27! Staff, guests everybody were in really good mood... God bless Hermanus BP Cheers !

After traveling around for 3 months in Southern Africa I arrived in the Hermanus BP. It's a colourfull house with big windows, bar and swimmingpool in the garden. Hermanus Backpackers was quite empty when we arrive in early Jan, but the staff did their best to make us feel like home and was very helpful. If you like cool, young people that is the place to be. It's nice and clean. The staff is young but is not trying to integrate backpackers. The Hostel is hip and very colorful. A little bit noisy but in a backpacker Hostel it's normal. Close to the center. Bed are good. No breakfast included.
