We are well travelled with various experiences, but the Redbourne offered something special with the friendliness and attention to our needs. Sharon and Jonny were wonderful.... and provided the most superb mushrooms with their breakfast. The rest was great too, eaten as we all looked out on Victoria and Alfred waterfront. It made you realise the importance of great customer... More

This was the first time we had been to Cape Town and the first B&B we sampled. We were tempted to give it five stars but we had some other wonderful places to compare it with. Our bedroom was lovely. The downstairs bathroom was fine except that the toilet did not have a door which was a bit of a... More

Sharon and Johnnie were very helpful on arrival - they made sure we filled every day to capacity, recommending places to go, places to eat! We had just arrived after an 11 hour flight but there we were off to Kirstenbosh Gardens for the afternoon - it was great! This was our first taste of South African hospitality and set... More

Sharon and Johnny are such a lovely couple, they were so helpful and welcoming. Our room was lovely and we had a good view, the breakfasts were great and Sharon and Johnny were about to help us plan our day and give us directions on how to get there. It was a very friendly B&B and was we met a... More

Our stay here was a lovely experience. Hosts Sharon and Johnny are great, truly welcoming, helpful and hard working. The sleeping accommodation is excellent, comfortable, clean and quiet. Breakfast is good and keeps you going for the day. Information on the status of the cable cars (in operation or not) is readily provided here. Recommendations on places to visit and... More

It must be us, everyone elses experience seems to differ from ours. I'm sorry, the hosts are very pleasant, keen to offer the best route, the things to do and see, the best places to eat. The dining isnt ideal perched at a breakfast bar, while views are great, the seating isnt ideal. Breakfast was delicious, but had to find... More

We had simply the best time in this guest house! We were a little nervouse arriving to SA and Sharon and Jhonny made us feel like home and gave us simply the best recomendations for our trip in SA. They were so welcoming that we extended our stay in Cape Town just because of them and it was so worth... More

A great place to stay as a base for exploring Cape Town and its environs. This was our first trip to South Africa and Sharon and Jonny worked very hard to make sure that we got the most from our four days there and Sharon’s directions were always spot on. Their local knowledge re the weather really paid dividends with... More

Sharon and Jonny could write the book on how to be wonderful B&B hosts. We chose this accommodation based on reviews that said we'd feel like family within a few minutes. It's true. Jonny helped me choose African music CD's to my liking from his collection, referred us to excellent restaurants, called taxis as needed, and delighted us with his... More

We are from Edegem/Wilrijk near Antwerp, Belgium, Europe. And after 18 days of wild nature, wonderful oceans, elephants, ... we arrived at this beautiful 19th century guest house with two stunning views: one towards table mountain, the other towards the city down below and the ocean. The family of the Guesthouse are warm friendly people with two youngsters and two... More
