Central hotel and within walking distance of some tourist attractions: Company Gardens, Castle, Green Market Square. Within walking distance to train station which was very convenient for trip to Simons Town. The hotel was nice. The beds were comfortable. The breakfast was fine but as with all hotel breakfasts, it got boring after a while. A lot of the negative... More

The location is great - smack on Long Street, where all the action is. Staff was very friendly, and the rooms were good - great little bathroom, all was clean, bed was fine. The breakfast, included, was terrible though - stay for the hotel, and just go for breakfast somewhere nearby, lots of good places... More

Dear Mr. Judge Thank you very much for your objective review! We noticed that you scored us 4 out of 5 for value, sleep quality, rooms and cleanliness and 5 out of 5 for service and location. I must apologise profusely for the breakfast not being up to standard. As our Food and Beverage department was outsourced from the 1st... More

I write this review on behalf of my parents who had a very short stay in Cape Town and needed help to make the best of their 1.5 days. They are both in their 80's and were celebrating their 65th wedding anniversary. The hotel upgraded my parents room and gave them a gift to celebrate. All unsolicited and very much... More

We spent six nights at the Urban Chic to celebrate my partner’s 60th Birthday. We enjoyed our stay tremendously. The personnel were all very friendly and professional. The breakfasts were more than ample and served by friendly, helpful ladies. The rooms and bathrooms are clean and well serviced, with a well stocked mini-bar and coffee or tea making facilities. We... More

The hotel is in a great location and the staff is top-shelf (Ashton at the front desk is great). The hotel may be small but the rooms are large enough for two people to move around without colliding into each other. And the view of Table Mountain from the hotel is incredible. The hotel is located on Long street, which... More

I've been staying here while attending the E-Tourism Frontiers Africa conference and mostly very much enjoyed my stay. It's got a great location, on the corner of Long and Pepper streets, with excellent views, especially from the glass-cornered corner rooms (I'm in 302, and I'd guess the #2 on each floor of four rooms is the corner) giving you 270... My husband and I stayed at this hotel for one night. We only moved out because it is in the party street of Cape Town. The rooms are beautiful, breakfast is delicious and the staff are really helpful. They actually helped us to find another hotel! Thank you, guys. More

The hotel management fraudulently debited our credit card for additional nights that we didn't stay there. We are visitors from Australia and a wonderful holiday in beautiful Cape Twon was spoilt by this horrible experience. More

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Page I am extremely disturbed by your account of the events as they unfolded as they are certainly not a true indication of what happened. You originally booked 2 rooms with us from the 05/01/2011 until 11/01/2011 and authorised us to charge a 50% deposit for the reservation to your credit card (which we did) but... More

The purpose of this hotel is to make money out of people who need to find alternative accommodation because it is impossible to sleep! Dr Mr. Learnihan Thank you for your review. I am very sorry that you feel that we treated you unfairly and for the fact that you feel that we falsely advertise our establishment.
