Great little place in Cape Town. Terrific location with a great walk down into town. Rooms clean and modern, bed very comfortable, staff friendly and helpful. Thoroughly recommended will certainly stay again

We stayed here for two nights, wanting a centrally located hotel with modern amenities. The Hippo fitted the bill perfectly. Excellent location, free secure parking and free wi-fi. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. A very good option.

Large and interesting room. Sits above 3 great restaurants. Incredibly helpful staff. Great place to base yourself during your stay to cape town. Wouldn't consider staying elsewhere next time we're in town. Secure car park very useful too.

This hotel is in a hip neighbourhood just on the edge of downtown. The area is central but less gritty than the downtown core.
