This was our first trip to South Africa and we started with 4 nights at Welgelegen Guest House and it was a most wonderful start to our holiday. We had a lovely friendly welcome from Danielle on our arrival and she arranged for our room to be made available early. While we waited she set a table up for us... more

Just off Kloof Street/Long Street with numerous bars and restaurants for lunch and dinner. Short drive to Table Mountain and V&A waterfront. Beautiful decor throughout this updated Dutch colonial home. Great breakfast served from 7:30 am until 10:00 am -- cooked to order each day. Very friendly and helpful staff. We loved this place and would stay again on our... more

Look no further and book early in Capetown, then let your mind be at ease. Easy cab ride to the waterfront. The rooms and guest house are beautifully decorated. The Staff, especially Anine, make you feel like you are the only guests. It has numerous restaurants within walking distance and is in a quiet neighborhood. Breakfasts are outstanding. The wellness... more

Three couples traveled together and spent five nights at the Welgelegen. We were courteously greeted when we arrived and quickly taken to our rooms. All were pleasant with wonderful views of the city and great accommodations. No detail was overlooked, from the chocolates on our pillows each night to the heated towel racks in the bathrooms. The breakfasts were great.... more

Good rooms, sun patio with plunge pool. Good breakfast, good lounge with ample reading material. Very friendly to the teenagers, too! One note..be sure you're heading for the right place, as despite... more

This guest house is a hidden gem in a side street off Cape Town's trendy Kloof Street. We were very warmly welcomed by the staff who are extremely efficient and friendly with excellent local knowledge. The bedrooms to the rear have a full view of cable mountain. We were welcomed with a bottle of wine in our room, fresh homemade... more
