We stayed 3 nights at The Walden House in early April and very much enjoyed it. The hotel is elegant and sophisticated but not stuffy. A lovely place to stay with excellent views across the city and up to Table Mountain. It combines elegant accommodation with a welcoming homeliness. The breakfasts were lovely and the staff were friendly, unobtrusive and helpful. If we visit Cape Town again, we will consider staying here as we doubt we will find anywhere of better value.

This is a very nice guest house with very friendly helpful staff. Its in a great position, both in realtion to Cape Town and Long Street but it also has terrific views af Table Mountain from the upstairs veranda. We enjoyed 3 lovely days in Cape Town and surroundings. The Wanden House is a Victorian House very well kept, great view, nice staff, walking distance to Long Street, free parking, free internet, good breakfast. We rented a car at the airport, and definitely is the best solution to move around (arrive to the Hotel, visit Cape Point, Vineyards, ...).
