We were booked in at another hotel which was overbooked and we were sent on to the Hollow. The downtown location worried us, but we were presently surprised. The hotel is funky. The rooms are very modern and comfortable. The breakfast was great. We did stay just one night over the weekend, so perhaps a weekday experience may be slightly... More

My friend and I were transferred to this hotel after a booking error at its sister hotel Cape Town Hollow. The staff were very apologetic and offered us an upgraded room, wine, fruit and a complimentary dinner. We stayed in the Green Annexe which has its own entrance. The porter noticed a stain on the carpet which was dealt with... More

First hotel on our Travelsphere tour. Plus points:- Large well equipped room with very comfortable beds. Friendly helpful staff. Minus points:- No hot water on 2 consecutive nights (reported but no action). Very poor quality towels. Average breakfast in noisy cramped dining area. Hotel is not in the best area. More

We stayed here at the start of our tour of South Africa. Large rooms with VERY comfortable beds and convenient multi-country socket outlets - including standard UK.The food was pretty good, with plenty of choice at breakfast.Service was slow on one evening, but a word from our Tour Manager resulted in staff doing their most to make amends the following... Well located in the city, specially if you will attend an event at the Convention Center. Honest breakfast, but don't expect too much. The rooms at the Annex are comfortable and brand new. However, you must to go out of the main building and walk about 50m to go to your room there. The breakfast is served in the main... More

The only nice thing I can say about this hotel is that the rooms in the new 'Green Annexe' section are very nice, and that it is very conveniently situated within Cape Town - but everything else about this hotel is terrible. Instead of harping on, here's a list: - The aircon in my room did not work and it... More

We only stayed two nights and found it nice and clean and the service was nice and friendly. There is a nice cosy bar down stairs and a resturant which we ate at, and the meals were nice. Bedrooms were fine. Nice and spacious. Breakfast was good. Not the easiest place to find as it is right in the city... More

At first glance this hotel appears to be a reasonable mid-level choice. Location near the International Convention Centre is fine. Breakfast is good. Beds are comfortable. I understand there is a newer, renovated wing which is fine, but in the larger section it just failed as a hotel. Things just didn't work - shower didn't drain, and worst most mornings... More
