We had 2 nights here and it was a great start to our trip. The house is beautifully decorated - a mix of modern comforts with antique furniture and quirky modern art on the walls. Our room was one of the "Fantastic" rooms (number 6) which was indeed, well, erm, fantastic! Huge, comfortable bed, lovely and interesting mix of furniture,... more

We stayed at Parker Cottage for the first two nights of a two week stay in South Africa. It is a beautifully decorated house in one of the Cape Town suburbs, offering easy access (walking distance) to local restaurants and is only a very short taxi ride away from most of Cape Town's main attractions. We stayed in one of... more

We found Parker Cottage quiet, civilized, beautiful and stylish. Breakfasts were truly excellent and the staff extremely efficient and perfectly charming. Exceptionally there was the added bonus of excellent conversation during frequent encounters with our hosts. There were never any parking problems and everything of interest was within easy reach. We hope to return to this establishment soon and highly... more

It was our first trip to Cape Town and we were fortunate to find such a welcoming place. Great breakfast on the verandah. Beautiful bedroom and bathroom with good facilities. Best of all was the hospitality from Phil & Liz (Owner) and their staff, who provided us with all information that you could possibly need to ensure our visit went... more

We stayed here on our last night of our holiday in South Africa and wish we had been able to stay longer. Phil and Chris were so helpful with suggestions of where to eat and booking a table for us. Really felt at home and able to use the kitchen whenever we wanted. When we left, Phil asked us if... more

We stayed four nights at Parker Cottage as part of our honeymoon and it was perfect. The room we had was fantastic, very elegant and with beautiful furniture. That was just the start of Parker Cottage's charms. The service was out of this world. Nothing was too much trouble, from booking restaurants and taxis to advice on how best to... more

Very friendly and serviceminded owners and staff. Room very nice and the location not far from Long street makes it possible to walk to city center. My family liked the hotel very much and the wine hour in evening was an extra touch of the family character. more

You'll get the impression that Phil is his own walking, talking Cape Town Chamber of Commerce. The UKer loves the place and it shows. He gave us wonderful restaurant recommendations and good tips for navigating the city. We also enjoyed the free wine happy hours where we got to chat with other guests and hear their travel tales. Sweet place. more
