Yes, whilst it's not the Kruger National Park, it is still a great experience, especially if you are short of time as it is only 2.5 hours from Cape Town.... and believe you me, I would not like to be left in the thickets alone!!!We had two rooms, a double and a family. The bathroom in the family is huge... More

Book the Ambassador suite!!!! My boyfriend and I had the most amazing time there - we celebrated our one year anniversary. so so beautiful! We had private safaris and our ranger gave us five star treatment with surprise breakfasts set up for us and the most romantic gesture of setting up a picnic to watch the sunset. The rooftop "loveseat"... More

Inverdoorn is in the middle of nowhere an hour beyond Ceres along a dirt road and is an ideal experience for Game Reserve virgins who want an introduction to the wild animals in South Africa without any fancy frills or luxury often associated with the more well known and glamorous alternatives such as Kruger or Shamwari. It is malaria free... More

If you have ever been to the Masai Mara or Serengeti, don't waste time on this game reserve. If, however, you are in Cape Town and have never been on a safari, this is worth a visit. It is not really a "safari" and is more of a zoo where the animals are mostly free to roam. They put feed... More

We spent 2 nights, in the 'Ambassadors Suite' and 2 luxury Cabins, this was because our original booking got messed up and this was all they had. these rooms were superb, and we could not fault them. we had private safari tours and our own guide, who have us the impression he would prefer to be elsewhere. this place is... Stayed here for one night at the beginning of April 2012. The main reason for staying the night was for the two safaris, of which I'll mention more about at the end. The location itself is stunning; right in the middle of nowhere, with about 20km's worth of driving along dirt roads to get there (if you've got a small... More

My parents and I visited Inverdoorn in early April 2012 for a day safari. I selected Inverdoorn over other game reserves, like Aquilia, because of the reviews on TripAdvisor. However, I haven't been to Aquilia so I can't compare it. In Cape Town, the tour companies and hotels push Aquilia. Good: We were in an open air Land Rover for... More

My wife and I are just back from South Africa and as the experience is still fresh in our minds, I wanted to get it all on paper. Initially we were hoping to spend a night and Inverdoorn which entitles you to two safaris but since we had very limited time, we opted to do the day safari. Honestly, I... More

Just went to Inverdoorn Game Reserve in mid-March 2012. It was a wonderful day trip for the family. We had a chance to see the Big 4 (since elephant was not presented at the game reserve) during the trip. Booking was easily done at the Tourist information at V&A waterfront. We booked the trip the day before and the lady... More
