Pilanesberg game reserve is excellent - a lot of game, non-malarial and easily accessible from Johannesburg. You don't need a 4X4 for access, but it helps to have a raised vehicle to aid visibility as the grass is high in places. The accomodation at Manyane is perfectly adequate, the chalets are well equipped if you are self-catering - however we... more

We've taken all the family (13 of us aged 70 to 4). No maleria, great food, great game viewing. No need for expensive guides. Don't need game viwing experience, but take a game book with you! more

Nothing too fancy, but good for the price. We enjoyed the layout, looking into a wooded area of the camp, with resident Impala, Vervet monkeys and Ostritch. There are at least three pools.
