Rissigton Inn is nicely located, very close to both the Kruger National Park as the Blyde River Canyon. The rooms a nice and clean, the service outstanding. The food is also very good and a lot of choice... If you are looking for a stay near Kruger, stop looking and book this lodge.

This was our second visit- we stayed here 10 years ago. Its got more rooms now but thankfully some things have not changed- immediate feeling of being at home, best food and incredible bird life in the gardens. You relax the minute you arrive. This time round we had had the trauma of our bags failing to make the trip-left... More

Location: Originally a farm but now much extended on a raised elevation looking down on farm land, partially obscured by trees. Investigate directions carefully as not too easy to spot as you drive through Hazyview. Watch out for the sign to the Rissington Inn on the roadside. Then follow a rough track suitable for normal vehicles for about 0.5 mile... More

Thanks for the very satisfied review. We are all very glad that you enjoyed your stay. Just a couple of quick points to set any uneasy minds at rest! Firstly, Hazyview is generally a very safe town for tourists to wander around and Rissington takes security very seriously, so there's no need to worry about that when choosing a room.... More

There's isn't much you can complain about at Rissington, the rooms are spacious with interesting inside and outside bathrooms. The bar is full of quirky signs and local news information - you can see that the place was built by someone who had a passion for the area. I believe that RIssington was established by someone who wrote a well-known... More

We stayed 2 nights en route from Nelspruit Airport for the Sabi Sands reserve just so we could drive up to the escarpment. Location is secluded and on first impressions with a warm welcome seemed great but the room was very basic, bamboo blinds falling to pieces, windows which did not shut properly and worst of all in 35 degrees... Hi there I am very sorry that the magic of Rissington somehow failed to touch you as it has touched everyone else. I was here myself when you stayed - we met! - and I can agree with you on one thing. It was unusually hot! We like to run a very easy-going, relaxed establishment (hence the shorts) and our... More

The service is wonderful and the staff is always kind, energetic, and helpful. The rooms are perfect, comfortable, and relaxing. My wife and I chose the Rissington Inn predominately due Trip Advisor's reviews. The Rissington Inn was one of a list of accommodations provided by our safari tour company. The tour company coordinated a driver from Johannesburg to Hazyview, We arrived in the afternoon, went upstairs and were warmly greeted. Our bags were taken to our room as we checked... More

We began our South African adventure by staying three nights at the Rissington. My mom had booked all of the accommodations for our trip and did an outstanding job. The staff was friendly and helpful, from helping us navigate some of the activities we should do outside of the park (including setting us up at the elephant reserve) and sharing... More

Hi there Thanks for your review and I am very glad you enjoyed your stay and that everything met your expectations. Especially our hospitality and our food, the two areas on which we concentrate hardest! I am sorry that I didn't meet you in person. I do my best to meet as many of our guests as possible. As far... Unfortunatley we had only one night at Rissington but will definatley be back and would recommend to others. From the room (we were upgraded to a Garden Room with outside shower) to the setting, the resturant's great food, and the very attentive staff, every thing was 1st class. A real Out of Africa feel. Chris Harvies the owner was not... More

If you would like to stay at a wonderful, peaceful and relaxing Inn - withing easy reach - but not in - the Kruger National Park - then look no further than Rissington Inn. This was our second visit - and we weren't disappointed. This is a laid back, relaxing inn, with exceptional cuisine and at exceptional value. The breakfasts... More
