The Protea Hotel Hazyview is a spectacular place to stay if you want to be close to the Kruger National Park, and still have a luxury stay. The staff at the hotel are amazing, and give outstanding service, and the rooms are luxurious and spacious. It is situated right off the road to Hazyview, and offers excellent cuisine and service.

“Spacious Room”

I did not have a bungalow but a room inside the main hotel and it was very spacious. I enjoyed the beautifully landscaped grounds and used the swimming pool. I did miss not having access to Wi-Fi in my room but not really necessary when on vacation. The only improvement would be to speed up the breakfast line.

Fourth time our family has stayed at this hotel and once again spacious room, food, service and environment up to the highest standard at a very reasonable price. A very nice experience. Everything was perfect apart from the WiFi which did not work for 2 days and no-one had any clue hos to get it up and running again. My room was beautiful and critter-free, though it smelled musty. I know others who weren't so lucky. My suggestion? Email them ahead of time and tell them you dont want a room with a thatched roof or an externally facing room. Those were the rooms where they ended up with unwanted guests. I stayed here for two nights with a tour group. My room, in the main building, was spacious, well-appointed and comfortable, though I feel the cleaning could have been a bit more thorough. We moved out of Hazypark Lodge after 1 night and b0oked in at Protea Hazyview and the service was beyond our expectations including the family room was clean comfortable. “Great stop near the Kruger!”

We stayed for one night after the kruger and were very impressed with the staff from the security gaurds when we entered to the cleaning staff in our room, they were very polite and helpful. The rooms are spacious, clean and quite! I would stay there again.
