We booked Rock-a-Bye B&B for the 9th February 2012, after searching the internet for a convenient stopover before heading into the Kruger National Park for 10 days. The proximity to Hazyview from Hartbeespoort Dam, then on to the Paul Kruger entrance made this an appealling option. We booked a rondavel self-catering, which we did not use as we went to... More

Rock a bye Bed and Breakfast consists of several lodges stashed away in the bush. We had the self-catering cottage on the left (when entering) with a private garage and (very small) pool. The cottage is very spacious (two bedrooms, dining room, living room, outside deck on the first floor) Shortage of kitchen utensils, blunt knives and a smudged oven... More

Stayed there in January 2012, the units were great, all clean and well equipped. Breakfast in the morning with the view from the deck was a nice touch. Value for money and I will be hard pressed staying anywhere else again if I'm in the area.

We reached Rock - a - Bye after our visit to the KNP. The beautiful surroundings and the spacious accommodation were much appreciated. We were self catering and the house was charmingly decorated and comfortable. More than once I found myself saying , "That;'s a good idea" or "Wow, how clever to have thought of that!" The house is full... More

The setting is fantastic, close to all amenities but far enough for it to be quiet and secluded. Groves of trees, gardens and river walk make it feel like a wilderness escape which is perfect after sitting in a car all day looking for animals. Breakfast is fantastic! Views are great, hosts are great, accommodation is great - a lot... More

In a moment of insanity, my fiancé entered the Induna mountain bike ride held in Hazyview of June this year..but that is a story of excruciating pain for another time and place. While the aching leg muscles will become a distant memory, we will always remember (and surely return to) Rock-A-Bye bed and breakfast. We were welcomed by, Warren, the... More

We stayed at Rock-a-Bye for six weeks in May and June of 2010. We stayed in the guest house, first with friends first and then with daughter and her son. The accomodations were wonderful, large kitchen fully equipped, braai outside that we used often, large dining room and living room plus the two bedrooms and two baths - and an... More

We had had a bad experience before arriving at this beautiful place! The rondavel accomation is first class. Large clean and very, very comfortable. Location fantastic- working farm- so a good few animals. Close the the Sabi river- walks through lovely Macademia farm & lime/lemon groves. (beware of the Hippo's!) The frog chorus is amazing- can be a bit noisy!... More

We stayed at Rock-a-Bye en route to Kruger and were absolutely delighted with our choice - highly individual rooms with stunning private balcony and wonderful views out over a lovely garden and farm (great for a walk). Very high quality B&B (but not expensive) which is a must if you are visiting Hazyview and want a lovely, very private high... More
