We came to the park to take photos, and there is great wildlife in this area. However, we had entered the park from further north & it was a bit of a shock to see so many cars around in the area. Especially if you get close to Skukuza! That being said, there still seems to be good wildlife viewing.... More

I love the Kruger and was also very impressed with the Lower Sabie Restcamp when I first visited in 2005. Back then we stayed in a safari tent which was really nice. This time we were a little bit late with the booking and only got a bungalow. For the price you pay it is definitely okay and we were... More

if people can look past the very poor service from the staff, Kruger and its animals are the best in the world. I agree with all the other travelers, service is very bad, and even worse though, the attitude of the workers. but setting that aside, Lower sabie is one of the pretiest camps in kruger and the viewing deck... My wife and I stayed in a one bedroom cabin in Kruger. I had heard stories about lions wandering among the camp tents in Kenya, so I was very relieved to see an electric fence around the entire camp at Lower Sabie. Especially since it was dark when we walked back to our rooms after supper. The room was basic... More

The Kruger is always a fantastic place to unwind and relax. And I can understand that the staff don't have the city vibe, but at Lower Sabie they need to jack themselves up a bit if they want to lure repeat foreign visitors. We rented a family cottage but were a bit disappointed: Microwave not working, towels not changed on... More

While Kruger is rich with animals, we saw all the big five in 48hrs, this park had the least helpful staff and the most disinterested safari guides. Also, it is very busy during the day. The food is the worst of any sanparks restaurants we ate at. Definitely worth just cooking at your spot. The safari tent accommodations w/ river... More

We had a one bedroom hut with a comfortable queen bed and clean bathroom with shower with good pressure and lots of hot water. The kitchen area was outside on the verandah with the fridge having a lock on it. One couple from our group forgot to secure the lock and no sooner had they pulled out for a game... More

lower sabie is a wonderful camp to stay at if you are looking to see a good variety of game. the main road from Skukuza to Lower Sabie can get really congested but its were you see a number of leopard and lion sightings, around the camp overlooking the river elephant and hippo are a common sight. The perimeter units are... How did the black economic empowerment group, the Compass Group get the restaurant contract. The food is the wortst I have ever tasted. Everybody complained. They cannot make food to save their lives ! And they are there for 10 years !!! Please get rid of them, we need to eat whilst in the park or we will starve. Avoid... More

We stayed for one night, in a basic rondavel. It was clean and well maintained, and in a quiet spot. We had two single beds, a large fridge and a sink. Ablutions were shared and just a few yards away. They were clean and tidy - lots of hot water for a shower. We ate at the camp restaurant, which... More
