Aah Singita Sweni - We loved our stay here - it was once again so special in a completely different way. The staff welcomed us like we'd known them forever and so, from that moment onwards you just felt completely a part of Sweni Lodge. It is built high up on the side of the Sweni River and you feel... I had several prior Singita visit but this was my first visit to Sweni. The camp location is perfect, secluded and hidden away in the riverbed. With the rooms perched like nests overlooking the water. It is designed for privacy with only a few rooms and the best possible service. The food was creative, fresh and matched the excellent wine... We came on honeymoon and stayed for 3 days. The place is just amazing and magical from every aspect. Our room was totally luxurious and stylish. You really feel like part of nature, part of the bush. We slept outside on our deck out on the bed under the stars one night to the sound of hippos in the river... More

Our second Singita Lodge, and another perfect experience. We drove from the airstrip for about half an hour, passing through Kruger National Park on a paved road. Then we turned off and came to our lodge. We looked down from the lodge to see the river and on the banks many hippos. Later in our stay the hippos were mostly... More

Our experience at Singita was absolutely phenomenal. My sister and I had the trip of a lifetime - memories were created that will be remembered for many years to come. And while there is no doubt that the lodge is beautiful and the bush is simply magical, the staff that looked after us is what really made the difference. I... More

We are terribly sorry that you were inconvenienced and affected by the issues during your stay at Sweni. Both situations were unusual and the sink issue clearly proved to be more of a challenge than we expected. With regard to the housekeeping issues and the insects in the room, again our sincere apologies. The housekeepers should have kept the doors... More

My partner and I spent 2 nights at Sweni and 3 nights at Singita Ebony in December. You can see my Ebony review under its listing. Although I preferred the look of Ebony lodge (it's like a high end version of an old school hunting lodge), I can see how others might prefer Sweni's more modern look. For instance, the... More

My 3 nights at Sweni were perhaps I have ever spent at a hotel. Writing and indepth review would spoil the delight in seeing what surprises the staff have concocted for you - this is a place where the hotel staff actively go out of their way to anticipate what you would like. It is very expensive, but their all... More

My wife and I recently returned from our honeymoon, a week in Mauritius (see Four Seasons review) followed by 3 days at Sweni then 3 in Cape Town. Sweni was what we were most excited for. It had a lot to live up to after an ideal week in Mauritius, it more than did that. Singita has been granted exclusive... More
