Berg-en-Dal is a great rest camp. Don't get me wrong. We saw all of the big 5 within 3 days and all around the rest camp itself. The game outside the camp gate were amazing and an abundance of them too. The cottages were OK but don't expect it to be 5 star. the cottages are a bit tired. we... More

My family and I stayed at the Berg-en-Dal rest camp at the start of our week in Kruger. We were honestly expecting it to be just a quick stop-over to break up our long car trip, but it ended up being a highlight of our time in the park. The self-catering chalet we stayed in was clean and comfortable, perfect... More

Berg and Dal main camp Kruger Park was overall a good experience, units were clean, and most utensils etc were present. The bird life was awesome and the pool most welcome. the sunset game drive was good and the bush walk was also a lovely experience, except for the cheeky guide, Raymond who clearly lacked any client service skills. This camp is well located within the kruger park, and we saw 4 of the 5big ones nearby. The room-concept is good, as rooms have a kitchen and an outdoor bbq, but they could have been much cleaner. We had insects in the toilet, but maybe this happens normally as we were inside a nature park. Blankets were dirty and... More

Berg-en-dal was the best of the three camps we stayed in, the rooms were large and spacious. Outside was a large patio with all the utensils for a Braai. there were walks that you could go on and I would like to have spent more nights at this camp as the facilities were great. More

The Kruger National park is a wonder to behold. It is a huge reserve, larger than Vermont, 50mile wide, and 200 miles long. Within the park are many rest camps (similar to to those we have in Americas National Parks) as well as private luxurious Safari Camps and Reserves that many from the USA book for their African Safari. Our... More

We stayed in a bungalow for one night here, and absolutely loved it. Lovely brick buidlings, very well maintained, and totally self-contained, with a great kitchen and bathroom. Nice landscaping at the camp, and a great area for wildlife viewing. Very comfortable, it's hard to believe you're surrounded by the wilderness. This was our favourite camp in Kruger, we would... We stayed for two nights at Berg-En-Dal. On our first night's game drive we saw lions, ellies, giraffe, buffalo, rhino and much more. We stayed in Kruger for six nights in early May and had the roads, games drives and bush walks to ourselves which was an incredible experience. Our first night's game drive in Berg-En-Dal was the best with... More

Stayed in a perimeter bungalow. These are brick built with thatched roof but look to have been built in the 1980’s and in some respects they are showing their age. Main bedroom is spacious with room for a third single bed and plenty of space left over for luggage. Kitchen facilities are limited with small two ring hob, no microwave... More
