You cannot help but love Wilderness Manor. JD was away during our stay but Gerald....I will never forget. He helped us organise our time during our stay all of which were great. We visited the Cango Caves and then went to the wildlife park and actually stroked a tiger. Gerald told us that if we enjoyed that we should walk... More

It is absolutely wonderful that you enjoyed your stay at Wilderness Manor so much. Thank you so much for your review. It is so fantastic to hear that our guests have enjoyed themselves. Great to hear that your dream has been fulfilled - it is fantastic to walk with the cheetahs at Tenikwa. The cat experience at Cango Wildlife Ranch... More

Gerald and JD have perfected the art of great hosts! Sadly, we could only stay overnight. Would love to stay longer. Great breakfast. Comfortable room with a beautifull view of the lagoon. Only complaint is that I did not have the opportunity to meet Max and Maggie, or to take them for a walk!! Definitely next time! Thanks for your... More

Wilderness Manor is impeccably run by Gerald and JD. Nothing is left to chance and you can be assured of their devoted attention whether you are arriving at midnight or having an extra early breakfast. We’ve been there three times and every time we find it harder to leave. The quality of the food and lodgings is outstanding as is... More

Unfortunately we were only 2 days at JD and Gerald. The two are super nice and very courteous. The house and rooms are beautifully and lovingly established. We felt very comfortable and will definitely come back. It was all perfect. Here to spend a dream holiday. Stayed in April 2013

I wouldn't be so enthusiastic... The rooms are huge and comfortable, but this is a modern house with a view on the car park and on the road which is actually between the house and the lake. Not the paradise promised by the internet site, actually. It lacks some real soul! OK breakfast, but not so nice as in many... More

Thank you for your review on Wilderness Manor. Each and every review is important to us as we at Wilderness Manor strive for "service excellence". We however find it strange that we cannot find any record of your stay with us during November 2012. We only had two solo travellers visiting Wilderness Manor during November 2012 and they were both... More

Lovely B&B. JD and Gerald are great hosts, attentive and helpful and do everything they can to help you enjoy your stay. Breakfast was very good, food well cooked and everything we wanted, loved the home baked muffins. The view over the lagoon is great, even when the sun isn't shining! We really enjoyed staying here.

JD and Gerald showed genuine care and concern even before we arrived. They had to ensure that we arrived safely and that all was in order for our Honeymoon. My wife and I had a great time staying at Wilderness Manor and the personalized service we received was just extraordinary (it was actually a last-minute booking). Starting from the room... More

The proprietors of this guest house, JD and Gerald, worked as cabin crew for South African Airways and they treat their guests as though you were flying first class. Everything about their accommodation and care of their guests can only be described as excellent. Travelling along the Garden Route this was by far the best place we stayed in. The... More

Spending time at the Wilderness Manor a few weeks ago was absolutely delightful, with two charming and knowledgeable hosts - Gerald and JD – who gave us a wonderful welcome and showed us around their beautiful manor. Our room, overlooking the lagoon, consisted of a lounge area, which was cosy and comfortable and tastefully decorated. Our Hosts gave us all... More

From arrival to departure the whole experience was without doubt as good as you would expect from a five star hotel, but better, because of the friendly atmosphere and attention provided by JD and Gerald.
