Just enjoyed our second visit and looking forward to the third ! Sheila and Alan are wonderful hosts, very accommodating with our choice of room and our late arrivals for breakfast ( Should not be missed anyway !). Ideally situated between Gateway and downtown Umhlanga.Lovely view from the first floor terrace, open to all guests.

I booked here out of necessity and they were very accommodating at first. Upon arrival I realised that this place was not what I thought. It was so noisy. Examples include the owners dogs barking inside the house at all hours and they have a telephone in every corner of the main house which will keep you awake from the... More

Having been to the Sandringham quite a few times and having experienced nothing but the warmest and friendliest service, I can definitely recommend this Bed & Breakfast to anyone. Comfortable airconditioned rooms, a well stocked honesty bar, a viewing deck and some fantastic views of the ocean, definitely makes this a must see if you're ever on the north coast... More

We arrived after a week safari and planned to stay one night. By the time we got to our room we had decided to change our flight home so we could stay another day at The Sandringham. It is in a mansion in the best part of town. The owners went out of their way to make us feel at... More

Booking accommodation on line can be a lottery, but I looked at the reviews for this hotel which were good and it lived up to its billing. When I arrived (slightly early) I was greeted like a friend, shown around and it was clear that customer satisfaction was their goal. Although it was well after lunch, a delicious toasted sandwich... My colleagues and I stayed at the Sandringham for two nights in March - this was primarily for business, but we were able to spend some time around the area too. After staying in a B&B six months before locally that was so-so, we were not sure to expect, but the Sandringham exceeded our expectations. The team there was very... More

We've stayed in hotels of all types, all over the world, and this rates as one of our favourites. It's like staying at an intimate 4* boutique hotel, where everyone is genuinely friendly. Everyone, Mike, Ursula, Alan and Sheila were so hospitable and nothing, but nothing seemed too much trouble; from making us a coffee in the evening, to dropping... More
