I have been visiting Ghost mountain for a few years now and am throroughly hooked! It is a really top class family owned and passionately run small hotel with staff that are extremely friendly and helpful. Treat it more as a destination than a hotel and you will enjoy the place even more. Rooms are great and have everything you... More

This is a very tranquil hotel set in well maintained gardens. There is also a wooden walkway where you can sit overlooking the small lake......very relaxing. This is most definitely a hotel and not a B&B. Although, its definitely not a late night venue! The food and service are good and its ideally located for some local trips. We travelled... More

Dear David, Thank you for taking the time to write about your experience at the Ghost Mountain Inn. I'm happy to hear that you enjoyed the peaceful surroundings, the food and service and found the location convenient. I am sorry that your Zulu cultural experience was not as positive as the rest of your stay. As you correctly note, Jean... More

We have visited this hotel on two visits to South Africa and would highly recommend it as a place to stay. The rooms are well equipped and comfortable, the gardens and pool are a great place to relax with a conveniently located bar! The management and staff are all very friendly and efficient. The choice of food was good and... More

Very modern and comfortable large hotel with good facilities. Wooden walkway down to the lake above the crocodiles. Fantastic number of weaver birds. Good hotel game cruise on Lake Jozini - bumpy roads to get there though! Zulu dancing each evening in "the kraal" only lasts 15 minutes and you can't see them because the only light is behind them... I don’t understand why TA has this place listed as a B & B. It’s a proper hotel – and quite a good one at that. We stayed here for three nights while on tour. It was clean, comfortable and set in very pleasant grounds, including a boardwalk out into the lake. It’d benefit from a bit of updating but... More

Had two nights wonderful stay here during our South Africa tour. The manager - Ross - and the rest of the staff were very helpful and attentive. Had a fantastic boatsafari with the ranger -Jean- who gave us a half day tour on the lake full of superb gameviewing. The atmosphere, settings and decor of the place is very tasteful... More

One night only review, during our South-Africa tour. Appeared to be a huge place considering the walk to our room. Hotel was fully booked, many families with young children. Room (executive ???) on the ground floor and looking over the garden, was spacey and clean, no double bed but two singles pushed together, sheets and mattresses were of very good... More

This a spacious spread out hotel with extensive grounds and a good swimminig pool. The reception is pleasant but the rooms are a little tired. The manager is excellent but the reception staff although immaculate in appearance were generally unhelpful. It is used by coach tours and this may mean that the restaurant is packed and the sun loungers occupied.... More

Let me begin by saying we had an awesome time in Mkuze! Ghost Mountain Inn, where we had the good fortune to stay during our visit, by far is the best place in the region. We were spoiled rotten by the fabulous staff, all the way down from the GM, Operations Manager, superb Housekeeping staff, to the Gardener (who by... More
