After an initial booking hiccup (confirm your booking), I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The room was modern, neutral and clean. The staff were all very helpful and friendly - there was a new chef and the food was great. The cherry on the top with this establishment though is its location. If the rooms of this hotel are cleaned, the shower situated in the room (clear glasses) is unpleasant and the breakfast service is a pity. Avoid it except for a single for business.

I booked 3 nights at this hotel a month ago and had a confirmed reservation through HOTELS.com. Credit card charged at the time too. I get an email today saying that the hotel was " unable to accept the reservation for my stay from Nov 11, 2011. I feel I have been grossly mislead by the hotel or Hotels.com

Durban was my hometown for many years, and on going back for a whirlwind holiday we decided to stay at Hotel on the Park as it was brand new. The room was great and quiet, good taste. The best is the terasse looking at the park, the food was very good and cheap. I would stay ther again.
