I liked them. Very much. And the dogs. That’s why I go for guest houses because there’s much more interraction with the owners and staff than you get in a hotel. And I liked all the homemade stuff – and the hand-written labels. Food was brilliant. A 3-course vegetarian set menu 4 nights in a row? Normally it’s a plate... more
Couldn't agree more with the above review (by YozzaLondon_England). Our experience exactly! This place has been completely missold by the proprieters. This is definitely not a 4* establishment and the owner is very annoying. Luckily, after one night we found accommodation at the nearby Hartford House, which is outstanding (highly recommended)! This guest house has, I believe, been missold by the proprieters. It is claimed to be a 4* country house with restaurant but I would rate it as 2*. The quality of the room we were given was very reasonable - large room and comfy bed - but the bathroom was very dated, with mouldy windows and the cheapest possible... more
