I've stayed here three times now with reasonably good results each time. Facilities generally good. Chef's Boma does nice range of foods (it is essentially a buffet 'plus') with entertainment some nights. The view at sundown from there is pretty impressive. Get the right time of year and the frogs will try to drown out your conversation with croaking! Staff... More

Johannesburg can be a bit much, with all the traffic and rushing, so this hotel, hidden away in a quiet corner of the city is a welcome respite. Good-sized rooms, helpful staff, more than adequte breakfast and a good number of amenities make this hotel worthwhile. On the downside, the wi-fi is not so good and it's quite expensive. Many... Our first night in Sth Africa - the Indaba offered a pleasant stopping place that provided reasonable standard accommodation. The staff were helpful and the breakfast was of a good standard. The highlight of the stay was eating out in the onsite Chief Boma's grill that offered an awesome hot and cold buffet with enthusiastic entertainment that delivered a cultural... More

For a well established hotel, I expect more. Staff try really hard but overall product is so weak...no mini bar; no room service menus, wireless only if you trek back to reception & pay extra; amenities non-existant!

We stayed here for 2 nights, at the front end of a safari trip. We were satisfied with this hotel, and I would be willing to stay here again, but I might want to try a more central location instead. It's location is both its virtue and its drawback, depending on your personal interests. It's away from the center of... More

We were delighted to stay and enjoy the peace of Indaba following a stressful Johannesburg arrival. The staff of Indaba was welcoming and understanding, and gracefully allowed us a late check-out so that we could enjoy a leisurely and delicious breakfast followed by quality family time at the pool. A very nice oasis of peace with clean, quiet rooms.

I have been visiting the Indaba on and off for 13 years and am very happy to recommend it. It really is an oasis in the Johannesburg jungle and over the years, they have added many more facilities. Stayed there over last weekend and had a great dinner in the Chief's Boma restaurant, overlooking the lake. The birdlife in amazing.... More

Stayed on business for a conference. There are multiple lecture halls, auditoria, break-out rooms etc - its the size of a small university! Ideal for conferences as there is space to meet outside and inside, places to share a drink with colleagues and eat in several restaurants. Rooms are fine, some quite far away from the centre of activity of... More

This is more of a business hotel where conference rooms, function halls and amenities abound. Me and my family were here for just that and it fits the bill. For more senior guests, they have golf carts roaming around to get you from one venue to the next. The places are quite far from each other so be prepared to... More
