An excellent guest house with the personal touch that one would expect from such an establishment. Could be a tiny bit more business friendly....free internet would be good, and more sockets in the bedrooms for charging phones and laptops etc.but it still worked well for me on a short business trip. This is in a residential area, so you need... More

This is one classy B & B in Jo'burg. We travel a couple of times a year to Jo'burg whilst my husband works, and we stay here. The rooms are amazing. Room 10 is the 'honeymoon suite' and as well as a huge bed, fridge, table and chairs, it has a whirlpool bath and double shower. The staff are welcoming... More

I travel to Johannesburg about 4 times a year and this is my guesthouse of choice. Great rooms, outstanding cleanliness and the warmest welcome - from everyone, including the parrot! I would recommend Bryan Manor to anyone looking for good value and a great place to stay that is not an anonymous chain hotel.

I was looking for a B&B to stay at before our safari for that homely feel, rather than an impersonal hotel. From the recommendations in tripadvisor, we chose Bryan Manor, and what a spot-on choice it turned out to be. The house is beautifully-decorated, the room we stayed in spacious and very comfortable with all amenities, the landscaped garden wonderfully... More

Rooms and house are spotless. Great service and friendly staff. Safe, felt okmleaving my laptop etc in the room. I only marked it down slightly as there is no dinner service provided but this is to be expected given it's small size. You can however order just about anything to be delivered or the staff can for you. Beds great... More

Without hesitation, I can say that our stay at Bryan Manor was the best all-around international lodging experience we have had in our many years of exploring this world. From our experience, the rooms were easily the equal of the Intercontinentals and Four Seasons in which we've lodged, but the service we received from Elaine and Louise at Bryan Manor... More

I am very, very positively impressed with this guest house. And believe me - I'm not easily impressed, staying 300+ nights/year in hotels can make your tolerance levels quite low. Was staying there 8 nights. First night I arrived late, was met by Louise who showed me the room and explained how bar works ("honesty register bar" thing). She even... More

What an amazing place, with a awesome green area around with a Tennis court, with a fantastic owner (Charles), I'm quite sure anytime i'll be back to Johannesburg, i'll not go to any 5 star hotel, i'll just repeat my experience there. i can't describe how friendly are the staff here, starting from waking up and having your breakfast, you... Attentive staff, a small number of rooms not to be a number, swimming pool. Just noisy birds in the morning.
