We actually chose to stay here simply because we have relatives in Pretoria and it's close to their house. As it turned out, the location is probably the best thing about the Town Lodge. The Menlyn shopping centre is literally just a few hundreds metres away and the main Jo'burg to Pretoria highway is also extremely handy. Other than that, this place is really like a very standard motel. It's certainly clean and the breakfasts are actually quite nice. You can eat the latter in a very nice garden... though you may have to set your own table. Service at breakfast was definitely far from being attentive. The people on the front desk, on the other hand, were pretty helpful. As for the rooms, they are really pretty small. We had initially booked a double room... but changed for the second night because the bed was so small (probably just 120cm wide).
