NO ELEVATOR! We had to haul all our luggage for 4 younger kids to the basement floor... Only to find that the room was not very clean... I don't have words to describe what I saw in the bathroom. They switched us to a room on the second floor...so..there we go hauling all our luggage up the Stairs!

Location requires a rip off taxi price to get to and from it, from anywhere. The hotel room was very dated and I felt I was back in a 1960's style holiday camp. The breakfast area, thanks to all previous occupants not cleaning up after them was filthy. Saving grace was the friendliness of the staff.
This message is largely directed to upper level management of the Don Suites Apartments / Eastgate as I have only praise for the maid and maintenance services, especially for their fortitude.
I stayed at this establishment on two earlier occasions, in 1995 and 1996 when the accommodations were cleaner and much more agreeable. The amenities have barely changed, simply degraded....
