Great room, gym, bar and restaurant. Unexpectedly stylish and understated yet warm and luxurious. A great find.

My wife and I spent 6 weeks at this hotel while she was undergoing reconstructive surgery. The staff, the rooms, the food, all exceeded expectations by a long way. Really nothing noteworthy about this hotel - just a standard Protea Hotel. For those not used to Protea hotels, they are really good! The most positive thing was how excellenty they manage to isolate the room from street noise and outside lights. Close the windows and goes quiet. Friendly staff. The room and the facilities was ok for a busines trip. The oonly thing that we didn't like was the breakfast!

Being an overnight business trip, I did not make use of many of the hotel facilities but I was pleasantly surprised by the hotel. Stayed there 7 nights in June 2011 and again 7 nights in January 2012. Staff are friendly, hotel is clean and pleasantly decorated. Room has a big, comfortable bed with firm pillows. Beautiful gardens and an adequate pool just to cool off in case you have time after work. Free car park on location, always felt safe, even at night... More

I rather enjoyed this hotel for the most part, but then, we were only briefly stayong in jo-berg before heading out to explore south africa. The location is not convenient to much- you will have to take a cab. Service and wifi were inconsistent. Food was good.
