Bloemfontein has always been conservative and narrow-minded cities in the RSA.It yet is! You can not find an abundance of good restaurants and hotels here. The Southern Sun must be avoided at all costs. The Protea is bland but efficient.

Protea Hotels are always a safe bet and the Protea Hotel Bloemfontein is no exception. Immaculately clean, crisp linen, good food. We had a family unit (2 x double beds) - enough space for 2 x adults and 2 x young children. Will always consider any Protea Hotel for a stay.

We only stayed here for one night ready for an early morning flight. We had fairly low expectations based on the price we had paid for the room, but were pleasantly surprised. Check-in/out was quick and efficient, complimentary drinks in reception a nice touch and a large indoor and outdoor bar and restaurant area available.
