We were late. Hotel was full. So they gave us a 180 dollar room. Everything was wrong; no wireless Internet access in the room. (in the lobby 802.11b !!!) Allmost no connection and terribly slow. The rooms are clean and well equiped. It is a bit of a drive to Monument Valley, in spite of the title. Wifi is only availble in the main lobby and even here it was very patchy. The desk staff could be a bit more cheerful. Breakfast is not included.

Pay no attention to the "professional phot" which shows the HI sign, for this is no longer a Holiday Inn property. Adequate room, no more than that.

We stayed here as a last alternative because the other places we wanted to stay near Monument Valley were full. We were pleasantly surprised to find our room quite clean, comfortable, and updated. We had no complaints about this motel.

Be sure to inquire if the sewer system has been repaired and/or updated since May 3, 2012. We had a terrible back-up in our bath tub and toilet overflow at 1:30 a.m. At check-out at 6:30 a.m., the staff asked why we didn't call to report it and get another room. Go figure

I liked this place. All the spots in Monument Valley are expensive and quick to fill up. But a 25 minute drive away gets you a high quality room here.
