I have stayed at the Cottonwood Hotel several times - the innkeeper now knows me by name. I have stayed in three different rooms there and each was perfect for my needs. This is a historic hotel and each room is unique. Several times I've stayed here while traveling solo, and once with a friend. Each time I had a... More

The Cottonwood Hotel has history and pizazz. Karen, the owner, did a lovely job remodeling the rooms. I especially loved all the personal touches and wonderful bath products she provides. Karen is warm and friendly and wants her guests to be comfortable and safe. It's fun to be in Old Town Cottonwood too. Some great eateries! More

I was very happy, because I could meet with my parents in such a lovely hotel! The great service made our trip enjoyable and relaxing. I really liked the room because of the nice bed, kitchen and organic bath. The excellent service from the owner and wonderful weather and historical sites refreshed me and gave me a lot of energy.... I stayed here before and loved it. Our hostess (owner Karen Leff) showed us to our suite and explained where everything was and how it worked including the things particular to an older building. Karen also told us about the TV/VCR which I wasn't interested in until she recommended watching some AZ made movies and gave us a short history... More

I selected the Cottonwood Hotel for it's 1920s ambience, but was delightfully surprised by how comfortable the extra little details made it and the fun history of the place. The room, with it's beautiful, original hardwood floors transported me back in time but was very clean and well stocked and even had wonderful bath salts and oils for the original... More

It's nice to check out places like this, it has a history to it, and that cozy feeling. It's also not a brand new sterilized facility or dumpy old hotel. It's located right next to some great little restaurants and wine bars, and the owner was great and helpful of new places to check out while downtown. Totally worth it... More

The Cottonwood Hotel is a surprisingly wonderful place to stay. Its a historic building remade into nice suites on the second floor. I had a front apartment complete with kitchenette and my friends had the Mae West suite with an original bathroom. Both were cute, comfortable and had great beds and bedding. This place is a good value and we... More

I spent the evening of Saturday, April 16th in Cottonwood, Arizona. I wanted to visit "Old Town" Cottonwood without driving far. I found the Cottonwood Hotel online and it looked good, so I made a reservation. I chose the smallest room, since I'd only be there one night and would be busy most of the day - just sleeping in... Tiny room up barely negotiable stairs. Tasteless, left over Las Vegas leopard bedspread and bathroom ensemble. I inadvertently forgot to leave the room keys and Karen, the hotel owner, had the nerve to charge me $50 to replace the keys, after I had already spent $18 to send them back Express Mail. Can you imagine a hotel without a spare... More

Our hotel policy states that there is a $50 charge for each unreturned key. When keys are not returned, whether intentionally or unintentionally, as a hotel we have a general duty to exercise "reasonable care" for the safety and security of our guests. Re-keying certain old locks or replacing locks can even run into more money. We use our discretion... More
