We stayed there for a week in August with our 3 kids. What a great place to stay for a family! It was better than we expected and we loved the reindeer! We will definitely stay there again!

The Agate Inn truly felt like our home away from home. We loved the tranquil setting in the woods, the reindeer, and the time the hosts spent making this a relaxed and beautiful retreat to come home to after a long day of sightseeing or hiking. Great location, highly recommend!

The owners are very nice and the location is beautiful! They have reindeer on the property and bunnies hopping around. It sits off the main road and is very quiet and surrounded by trees. Very close to Wasilla and Palmer.

Our room at the Agate Inn was perfect. It was very clean, had a jetted tub and separate shower, two leather recliners in the bay window, good bed and very nice location. This Inn is a very nice place to stay. The rooms are very quiet, well maintained and the owners make you feel right at home. There is a reindeer farm in the back of the Inn that you have access to as well. The amenities in the room are very good as well. I would like to stay here again.... More

We really enjoyed 2 days here. Loved the reindeer too! We stayed in the Susitna Cottage. It was comfortable, exceptionally clean and roomy. We were a little worried about being near the Palmer-Wasilla Highway but never heard the traffic from inside the Cottage. Wish we could stay longer and hope to visit again!

Worked fine as an intermediate stopping point while traveling through the area. A strong point was that it was clean. Furnishings were dated, but everything worked as it should.
