Rooms here wreak of smoke and dirt. Management is not responsive to any of your concerns once they have your credit card info! The suites are very nice and an excellent value. Very clean and have all of the conveniences I require in a Hotel. The food in the restaurant was excellent and the staff courteous and helpful. I travel extensively and this was a great choice.

This is a lovely, family owned, hotel with an excellent restaurant. Though some of the reviews here seem negative, my room was very clean and well put together. Being a native of Alaska I didn't find the prices to be any more expensive then other hotels during the tourist season. I would highly recommend Totem to any visitors to Valdez.
