We very much enjoyed the 3 nights in one of the newly renovated bungolows. The view was fantastic and the food superb. Caroline was a very nice and welcoming host. We'd loved to stay longer.

In a country where 99% of everything is overpriced Tikehau Village is no exception, in fact it was probably the most overpriced of all our hotels in FP although to be fair it was on the most remote island we visited. The room lacked space to unpack, no fridge (a big negative on an island where its easy to find... More

stayed there for honeymoon 1 night ( we shoud 3) and it was really crazy... the beach bungalows lay on a very nice beach, but they are quite dirty (cockroach, spiders and holes on the mosquito net). The most terrific was.... the welcome as they forgot our reservation ( we met people in tahiti who had the same problem earlier... More

Very warm welcome, good food, great beach, perfect location if you dive (diving center located just into the pension). Bungalows are refurbished and charming. Hot water! (rare here!) which is great after a 2 tanks dive! (I get cold very quickly... so I really enjoy a warm shower on a rainy day after a couple of dives!) No real weaknesses,... More

It had taken me considerable effort to book this hotel. The Tahiti tourism representative in London said I should email but they definitely do not have the internet. Other guides said to fax but that did not work either. I tried writing but Caroline doesn't 'do' letters - she had received mine but hadn't replied! So forget all about any... More

We are mid-60's fairly active, stayed 3 nights at this wonderful little pension very near the Tikehau airport, and only 15 min walk to "town." The proprietor, Caroline was most friendly and helpful in setting up excursions for us. The food was outstanding, given the remoteness of the island and the difficulty of provisioning. Dinners are enjoyed by those not... More

If luxury resorts are not your thing, try a "pension de famille". We stayed 3 nights at the Tikehau Village, a typical Tahitian "pension de famille" and our party of 10 occupied 4 bungalows (about half of the pension's capacity). Two of them were renovated, 2 were 'old'. We definitively recommend the renovated rooms as they are much nicer looking,... More
