We ate breakfast here regularly and stayed in the small wooden 'shack' for one night after flying off Denali. Good food, good service and the 'shack' was luxury after staying in a tent for 4 weeks. Ideal location More

Our family of five stayed in the little cabin behind the Roadhouse. We stayed just one night, but we constantly think about how rustic, charming and fun it was. It is a unique experience, somewhat like camping meets lodge. The cabin is comfortable for 5 adults. It was clean and cozy. Our young adult guys loved sleeping in the little... More

Talkeetna roadhouse was one of the best hotel living experiences for me. It was so unlike a hotel - quaint, rustic with an old world charm. It had a bakery and a restaurant on the first floor and our room was upstairs with an awesome view of the vibrant main street. It felt like a log cabin with clean and... More

This hotel is rather rustic, but clean, comfortable, no frills, and we really enjoyed our stay here. Room #2 was clean and the bed was comfortable. Rooms 1-2 are on the main floor of the roadhouse. We had a sink in our room, but otherwise bathrooms are shared. Its a great old historic building, and we heard some great stories... More

The Roadhouse turned out to be quite the destination and still my husband's favorite after almost three weeks of driving and riding the ferry around Alaska. We spent the night on our way to Denali and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. It's a roadhouse in the true sense of the word in that you can rent a bunk or a room for... More

I absolutely LOVE the Talkeetna Roadhouse. I have stayed here twice with family. It is a perfect home away from home, and probably one of the cosiest places on earth. It is a restaurant and hotel with shared bathrooms. Everything has a very personal touch. There are different books in each bedroom from Dr. Seuss to the Fall of the... More

I loved staying here. I might be a little biased though because I did just come from days of sleeping in a tent and backpacking in the pouring rain and hot sun. The hot showers were definitely great even though you do have to share the bathrooms with other guests. Don't worry, there are plenty to go around. The beds... More

We stayed in one of the three rooms upstairs in the roadhouse, and we loved it. If you enjoy staying at old historic properties when you travel, this is the place for you. It is not fancy, but clean and cozy. We were surprised at how quiet our room was considering all the people who frequent the roadhouse downstairs, especially... More

We didn't stay here, but we had breakfast here during our only morning in Talkeetna. The pancakes were outstanding and the bakery items were delicious. It's an old, rustic, authentic Alaskan roadhouse, and the atmosphere combined with the great food made it a memorable and enjoyable dining experience. More
