Out of four Alaskan hotels we stayed at, we received the best service at this lovely hotel with a glorious view of the mountain range. We received unhurried "personal service" from the front desk and at the tour desk. The lobby has comfortable seating in several areas that invite lingering. We were impressed that our room had deluxe furnishings. The... More

The people here were extremely kind and pleasant. The view from the back patio were phenomenal. We were fortunate enough to see the great mountain and enjoy her beauty. Our luggage was brought to our room promptly so that we could wander the grounds and enjoy the area.

What an amazing resort type hotel. The most amazing view of Denali (Mt. McKinley, the locals do not refer to it as this anymore). The patio on the back side of the resort is absolutely amazing. You don't want to take your eyes off of the views as it is so mesmerizing. Breathtaking. The restaurant was decent also with amazing... More

We had a very nice first floor room with a beautiful view. The room was fairly large and very comfortable. It is a bit outside town but there is a shuttle to take you to downtown area. We ate in the restaurant for lunch and a dinner and the food was great. There is a bar area in the restaurant... More

I stayed in this hotel when it first opened in 2001. Cushy rooms with kitchenettes. A spectacular view of the Mountain--if it's out. Hot tub on the back deck. The restaurant has good food, but a little pricey. The gift shop has reasonably priced offerings. I always take visitors through the gorgeous lobby with the huge stone fireplace.

This lodge looks great on the outside but it stops there. Rooms are noisy as it is cheaply built, halls narrow, sheets pathetically cheap, worst TP and Kleenex in the US, NO extras! We went with a large business group of Alaskans, way off the tourist season, when there were very few other visitors besides our group. The managment missed... More

Our visit to Talkeetna was way too short. We arrived at the lodge about 4:30 p.m. and left at noon the following day. The Talkeetna Alaskan Lodge has a beautiful lobby and many small areas to relax, gather or mingle. When traveling, we usually go into town to meet and talk with the natives and eat the local food so... More

I had the best time with the staff. They are very personable. I was traveling by myself, but the made me feel as though I was among friends. Would love to come back here someday.

We spent one night at Talkeetna Lodge and couldn't have been more pleased. Denali was cloaked in clouds when we arrived so we asked the desk to call our room if the mountain appeared. It did and they did. Looked out our room window to see Denali undressing. We watched the show for about an hour and 1/2 till she... More

We spent only 1 1/2 days at the Talkeetna Lodge. It is a newer building with lovely grounds, clean, spacious rooms, two eateries and a great room with a soaring ceiling, rock fireplace and excellent views of the nearby mountains - if the cloud cover allows. We arrived hoping to fly over McKinley and land on a glacier, but the... More
