There are three cabins built on a hilltop location. It's a dirt road up a steep hill to get there, another Alaska adventure. We stayed in a two-story cabin, with two bedrooms upstairs, and one bathroom downstairs. We arrived late one afternoon and it was raining so we didn't get to see the Denali mountain view. Still the cabin was... More

We stayed here 3 nights in August 2011. It is a wonderful place to stay. The view of Mount McKinnley and the Alaskan Range are wonderful. I would recommend this place to anyone. More

Being veteran Alaska tourists (this summer was our 5th trip), we sometimes feel like we've "done it all". This always passes quickly, however, as there is SO much to do. But, we do feel like we've found most of the best places to stay, and we just added a new entry, Traleika Mountaintop Cabins. Our family of 4 (2 teenaged... More

My husband and I stayed up at the Traleika Cabins for two nights and wished we could have stayed longer. We stayed in the “Sultana Cottage,” the smallest of the three cabins, but it was very roomy for the two of us. The cabin is comfortable, nicely decorated, and the views of Denali from the back porch are astounding on... More

Talkeetna is silly with tourists and this is the perfect antidote: a lovely, quiet refuge that's a few miles out of town -- and close to the Flying Squirrel Restaurant (with pizza oven) that only locals have discovered so far. The Sultana cabin we 3 stayed in had a gorgeous room in a loft with queen bed and lots of... More

Fantastic vacation spot. Beautiful cabin and amazing view of Denali. Wish we had planned to spend more than two nights. More

Absolutely secluded, perfectly decorated, and the views were INCREDIBLE! I would stay here again! We stayed in the cottage for just the two of us and the location of the loft where the queen bed faced perfect views of Mt McKinley. I HIGHLY recommend this place! For breakfast, we went to the roadhouse in Talkeetna for yummy sourdough pancakes! More

My husband and I were traveling with my parents, and we all loved the Denali View Cabin! We arrived around midnight, and the view of Denali was awesome...best we saw on our entire trip to Alaska. The cabin had lots of information about things to do in Talkeetna, which helped me find a local place to practice yoga. We all... More

We stayed here for 2 nights in the Birchcrest cabin. Very comfortable for me, my wife, and daughters ages 10 and 13. 2 nice bedrooms with quilts and lots of books about Alaska. Small tv with some videos. Great view of Denali when it is out. Functional kitchen and small bathroom. The grounds are really pretty, and the other cabins... More

My parents, friends of the family, and my husband and I spent a night in the Birchcrest cabin in early July. Located approximately 10 minutes by car outside of Talkeetna’s “downtown,” the cabin was well-removed from the hustle and bustle. It’s an excellent place to get away from it all, as there is no television. The décor is cute and... More
