There are only a little hotels in YAP and we have been in a Bamboo Cottage with aircon. Aircon is the only luxery. No TV, no Telefon, no Radio, but the price was high. Price and Quality is not ok. Our cellphone was not working because no roaming, but this is not a problem of the hotel. The rooms are... More

The Pathways consists of cottages on a hillside, set in beautiful green surrondings, which makes it very cosy and charming. Everything you need is within walking distance, but seriously there isn´t much to offer. This island is exceptionally quiet, so it´s not for restless souls, but for a romantic weekend, The Pathways would be recommendable. I stayed here for three... More

I have stayed in the "Guest Hut", which is a budget room located in the building, where also the reception is (the reception is on the ground floor). It costs 50 USD, which is a real bargain and have had everything I needed, including air-con and bathroom. Yap is a very peaceful and relaxed island and Pathways provide great service.... More

We stayed for 4 days/5 nights.Locally (family) owned and operated, the Pathways is a charming hotel, going to some rough time right now due to the slow economy (both local and global). It is fair to say that the hotel is past is prime shape and in need of some remodeling since the thatch roof bungalows and wooden pathways have... More

I use to live on Yap for several years and decided to go back and see how much of the island changed after a decade. WOW. The Pathways has always been a great place to meet with other Expats for refreshments and just some small talk. My son's always wanted a first hand look at the fruit bat that was... More

After diving Truk Lagoon, we traveled to Yap. Staying at Pathways was Wonderful. It was so relaxing and beautiful. Without a doubt the most enchanting hotel we've ever stayed at on a dive trip ..... LOVE IT

We stayed at this hotel from April1-April 7, 2010. This hotel is situated on a semi quiet street, looking over the lagoon. It consists of a number of cottages built on the side of a hill with dense foliage around each unit. Each unit has a small porch where you can sit and watch the local traffic and people walk... More

My wife and I stayed here 6 nights on a dive trip. I thought it was an excellent place to stay when on Yap, instead of sterile conventional hotel room. Not everything was perfect (slightly moldy-smelling mattress, flies in outdoor restaurant). But all-in-all very good, comfortable accommodation. Staff was friendly, very laid-back (from the betle-nut?). My wife could just walk... More

I was on business in Guam and came to Yap for a three night stay to go scuba diving. think that Pathways is the best place on the island with the most authentic atmosphere. The hotel is made up of cottages on wooden poles. The cottages at the top of the properly are the most desirable. The are surrounded by... More

Across a wooden suspension bridge to a grass hut (nicely air conditioned) on a hillside overlooking the harbor - very exotic. This was a nice place: haku lei on your pillow every morning, lanai on which to sit and enjoy the frequent afternoon rainstorm, and very helpful hotel staff - Cho was always concerned and helpful, driving when and where...
