Nice hotel in a very good location. We got a room looking directly onto the Cathedral. The room was quite large and very clean, only fault is that the bath had some nasty cracks.. The hotel in general probably needs better maintenance, but on the whole it was very good value for money. more

I have nothing negative to point at this hotel that I would expect to be much more expensive than it was to me, considering the unbeatable location (just beside the cathedral) and that it is truly an old palace. It has large common rooms with antique looking decoration. more

Except for the location there is nothing much going on for this hotel. As the previous reviewers mentioned, parking is such a hassle. I stayed in Avila in Feb 06 and this is a great location. In a 5 min walk you can get wine and cheese from the local wine store. Excellent staff and great food. It also inside the Walled City. Loved it.... more
