We booked 5 rooms for 8 days, for a group of aid workers because of its location. We found that the communist rating of 1* was a tad ambitious. I first used it in the '80's and it was cleaner then, although the local mafia used it as their headquarters. We now use the Hera--the best in Sighi.

Found it by us on a map upon arrival to town.
It didn't look so well outside, but many Romanian town hotels don't, we entered anyway.
The staff where very friendly, helpful, struggling to find a decent room for a mid aged couple like us.
The selection had filthy carpets, stained bed lining, worn and hollow beds, a strange odor...
