This unique property is situated at the top of one of the many hills in this picture perfect green landscape. As far as your eye can see mountains all round and those amazing rice terraces, this place is a restful haven. We lazed in the hammocks and drank tea on our own terrace of our hut. The guests all have... More

Our room had great views but the shower was not up to standard. The overall service was not up to standard, but reception & our guide Duc rescued the situation. Given that it is a trekking mecca, how come no massage facilities.

The views were incredible and I was lucky enough to have two clear, sunny days. I had very high hopes for this place and the views did not dissapoint. What is letting this place down is the condition of the rooms. They are in serious need of updating. The bathroom was very run down, lots of mould (the shower curtain... More

It was a pleasure to arrive to the Eco-lodge after the overnIght train from Hanoi and our 8 hour trek through the rice fields of northern Vietnam. The walk was beautiful even when accompanied by our new friends from the colorful Black Hmong minority. The train journey was less enjoyable. After our bone rattling ride from the end of our... More

Didn't really feel welcome on arrival. Room facilities were sparse (No shampoo/soap/bathrobes or minibar) and receptionist informed us it was because things get stolen from the rooms. Shower was dirty. Apart from employing locals, there was almost nothing else "eco" about this place. Meals were generic and bland, expensive and served as a buffet. Would recommend the view but the... More

The key to how much one enjoys this place is the weather. If it closes in and rains, then you're trapped as much as if you were on another planet. Unless you've got your laptop/ipad with you, then there is virtually nothing to do and nowhere comfortable or spacious enough to do it. This place has been going ten years... More

Loved our night at Topas and only wish we had booked to stay more than 1 night. It is an hour long, rough ride from Sapa to reach the lodge and certainly warrants more than 1 night. It is a peaceful setting, especially after chaotic Hanoi. No horns, only cicadas. It was hazy most of the time but when it... More

I splashed out over the normal rate to stay here so hopes were high. Views did not dispappoint – stunning. Also, dinners were excellent. But . . . my room smelled musty and dank. The duvet was heavy, dense and damp. The shower facilities reflected the Eco/green theme – poor water pressure. Ironically, it took me 50 litres of water... More

If you are looking for a spot to relax in a beautiful unique location, look no further. Topas is perfectly placed on a mountain top above the rice paddies and our bungalow balcony had the most amazing view of the surrounding mountains. The pictures in the website do not do it justice. The grounds and bungalows are beautifully designed and... More

Very nice accomodation located at an amazing spot. The bed was one the best we had in Vietnam (matresses were softer than most other places we've stayed in). The bungalows have private balconies and great views (weather permitting). The ecologde is located on top of a hill in a remote valley, more than 30 minutes by car from Sapa town.... More
