The hotel is clean, rooms are well equiped, staff were nice and helpful and it is very easy to find if you go on your on. It was a lot better than what I expected to find in such a small town in the Mekong delta. I would go back.

I stayed here for just 1 night on an organised tour of the Mekong Delta. I was very happy with my stay.
Location was excellent. An easy walk to restaurants etc.
My room was comfortable & pleasant. I slept well.
Staff were helpful. My wifi didn't work well but they kept coming up & re-setting the modem outside my room...

Like most people, we were only in Chau Doc for one night. We stayed at Hai Chau Hotel on 5 January 2011 to catch a morning boat to Phnom Penh. I booked a double room a few weeks in advance via agoda.com for US$35. You can get it cheaper if you are happy to do a bank transfer to pay...

Acctualy it is exactly what you need for a one night stay before (or after) cruising to (or from) PP. Old building, old furniture but clean and helpful and with enough patient you even get hot water :) Restaurant in the hotel serve good food although the atmosphere and surrounding isn't the best. Breakfast very poor.
We stayed here for just one night having caught the Blue Cruiser down from Phnom Penh. Its a great little stop-over hotel in local ownership; very friendly and clean. We had a first floor balcony overlooking a busy street but it wasn't noisy. Excellent value for money
Its about 5 mins walk to the River and market - a recommended...

It is quite surprising to see my name written on the welcome board of the hotel. So you could imagine that my first impression of the hotel is very good. Though there is nothing special about the hotel building, the decoration of the room etc. there are many things that make you like this hotel
1. it is nicely located...

After arriving in Chau Doc by bus, and being the only foreigners we had seen all day, and not even sure if we were in the right town, it was nice to get a welcome from the receptionist coming out onto the street and greeting us by name! Obviously the town was pretty quiet just then and we stood out!...

We arrived by boat from Phnom Penh and were met by the receptionist. Our intention was to spend one night before heading off to Saigon but decided to spend an extra night to get the feel of the region. Our room was fine, clean and wifi worked well. Best of all, the room rate was very reasonable. This is a...

Stayed at the Hai Chau in March 2010 while doing a mekong delta tour with a family group. This time I was going solo on my way back from Cambodia. Arriving too late to continue any further, I decided to look up a room at the Hai Chau. I was pleasantly surprised to be greeted by the same friendly staff...

This hotel was recommended by our tour guide Jason SSS and was the cheapest hotel we stayed in for the whole of our month trip to Vietnam and Cambodia
