The hotel is very nice, an oasis in the Indian cooking chaos on the roads. This is a beautiful and understated resort. Rooms are spacious and clean with good showers. The staff are very friendly and attentive. Bethsaida is beautiful and the perfect place to relax - perfect beach and swimming pools. Delicious Indian food eaten by candlelight in beautiful gardens overlooking the sea. I can really recommend Betsaida Hermitage. Great service, staff friendly and helpful, rooms clean, good food, clean big and nice pool plus the quite empty beach very close by. A very beautiful place. A peaceful contrast to the a bit more rough "reality" outside the gate. Transport is needed though to reach any shops or the beach at Kovalam town
