Great location with clean private beach. Nice beach view from room. Food is good. Friendly staff. Did an Ayurvedic massage at the spa, do not recommend - the masseuse didn't use adequate pressure, rubbed heated oil during crazy April heat wave. Staff was slightly aggressive about pushing spa treatments - the "doctor" came to see us as were checking in.... More

This was a nice hotel with a private beach and a beach view from the hotel. Bathroom was the only drawback, it was not modern and quite dirty. Water went everywhere when taking a shower. Spa wasn't particularly enjoyable in fact the massage was below average. Beach was clean and peaceful.

We stayed in Soma Palmshore for two nights in May 2012. The resort is a multi-level property with 2 large cottages and many resort rooms all facing the sea, which was nice. We took a cottage since there were 3 of us and were given the cottage closer to the resort (there's one closer to the beach which looked really... More

The best thing about this resort is the location as it is located right in front of the beach and you get to have a very good view of it from the room too. But the other part is 1) Bathroom: I must admit there is a lot of wear n tear and has to be redone 2) A/C: just... More

Some Palmshore was a nice stay for us, as it allowed us to enjoy the stretch of shops and restaurants nearby, but be away from too much noise. We stayed in a private cottage, which is too be recommended as the main building is not the most charming. The cottage was a bit rustique, but overall pleasant and value-for-money. The... More

This hotel gives indian kinda feeling. we got a warm welcome from hotel staff and we were overjoyed with their response :). the building seems to old but they have all the facilities like swimming pool, Private beach, spa, restaurant, gardens etc. Our room was nice and clean. Nice view of sea from balcony. The only drawback was a small... More

We stayed at the palmshore for 3 nights in march and generally enjoyed our stay. The hotel although up a hill was in a good position with lovely views from our room, but the room itself was a disapointment as it was a bit tired and contained a fridge so old and rusty that you wouldn't even put a bottle of beer... We stayed at the Soma Palmshore for 2 weeks with a short break while we travelled by rail to Ooty. We loved the ambience of this hotel. If you are looking for a typical chain hotel this is probably not for you. The Soma has character and a very Indian feel which, as travellers from England, was what we wanted.... More

Stayed here for a couple of nights at the end of a tour. Reception staff not very friendly and quite sombre as were most of the staff overall. One positive is that we were allocated a private cottage which had a lovely outlook on the grounds and the sea/beach. The room itself was fairly small and a bit shabby as... More
