I booked room for my visit to Kerala with my family for 3 nights, after looking hotels reviews on Trip advisor. Before booking response of hotel was prompt, however after reaching hotel everything changed drastically. Manager Jipson was nowhere to found and even not responding to our phones. Stayed at Samdra Tara for 4 nights with Parents....rooms are spacious and it is 100 metres away from sea beach. Hotel has excellent service and good rooms with reasonable tariff. Away from the hustle and bustle of Lighthouse Beach but only a short auto rickshaw ride away. We stayed there in Jan 2005 and found it very acceptable with spacious clean A/C rooms and the service and amenities were excellent. is located right next to the ocean and it takes you about 3-5 mins to get to all the restaurants and cafes by the seaside. Sea food is amazing and not expensive.
