When we first arrived we were very uncomfortable, we did not feel welcomed since the owner standing inside the door did not welcome us in; I had to initiate the entrance, in fact it felt like we were going through a "security check" at first, but now I imagine it is because they are an older couple and this is part of their routine.
We had trouble finding the place since someone stole one of the street signs.
It is a large home and our room was very big with a king size bed and private entrance. The price is a bargain at $63.00 a night total! The breakfast was outstanding! We had blueberry pancakes, sausage and bacon, mixed fruit with at least six types of fruit, numerous syrups, coffee, juice, variety of creams, and I mean all you can eat and then some! The owners turned out to be quite friendly and long time residents of Alaska.
Be prepared to take your shoes off indoors.
