I enjoyed my stay at the Driftwood Lodge. The room was clean and inexpensive. The room smelled really old, but not too much to handle. Their staff was really wonderful. Helpful and friendly. When I missed my flight, they came back to the airport to get me and brought me back for my later flight. That really made my day!... more

The shuttle was great picking us up from the airport and taking to and from the ferry several times. Very prompt shuttle service and that saved a lot of money not having to pay for a cab. They have a laundromat on premises which is great since we were on a 17 day trip. The room needed new carpet and... more

Room we stayed in needed the carpet cleaned, bathroom needed some updating. But, overall clean. The van to and from the airport was wonderful. Had a young driver who provided a history lesson during the trip, very interesting information. The staff was very kind and helpful. We were on the bottom floor, just a bit noisy from the parking lot,... more

We stayed at the Driftwood at the beginning and end of our vacation. Both times we had a kitchenette. We loved the place. It was large, clean, and very well located. The courtesy vans fetched transported us to and from the airport and ferry terminal. The drivers were very friendly and helpful. You can see the governor's mansion from the... more

We stayed six nights at the Driftwood. Most of our friends stayed at the Baranof. From what I could tell, we made the best decision. It's definitely Alaska basic but with comfortable bed, good cleanliness and it was great to have a kitchen and living area. We were picked up promptly at the ferry and into our room by 10... more

If you're looking for basic comfort at a decent price, Driftwood Lodge is your place. Nothing fancy, but clean and comfortable. Shuttle service to and from airport and ferry was very helpful. They let me store baggage prior to my stay, and refrigerated items for me overnight. Staff was helpful. more

We were collected from the airport. The courtesy bus driver showed us points of interest on the way to our accommodation. The staff were friendly and courteous. The room was clean and comfortable. There was a kitchette in the room that made eating cheaper for us. The supermarket was only a few hundred yards away. This accommodation was on three... more

A cheap motel surrounded by parking lots. The staff was not helpful, old worn beds, old bedding. Small cramped bathroom. On the positive side, It is close to the heart of downtown and next to a good breakfast place. If a low price is your only consideration, try it. If you want an enjoyable memory of your stay, look elsewhere... more

The hotel shuttle is fabulous saving us $30. in cabfare each time. We used this property between trips to Glacier Bay and then for another three night stay using the shuttle from the ferry dock and airport at least six times. We even rode out to WalMart to buy another digital card. The standard rooms are not pretty (needs serious... more

My long-term partner and I travelled from Prince Rupert to Juneau by the Alaska Highway Ferry Service on a 9 week holiday. This room was just a typical room, spacious, convenient location and reasonable value for money. We weren't disappointed. The breakfast served by the establishment downstairs had a very comprehensive and positively interesting breakfast menu we've ever come across... more
