We really enjoyed Juxia's hospitality. What a view of the Homer Spit and surrounding country side. Great breakfasts and plenty of coffe during our 3 day stay. Juxia booked our entire B&B tour of Alaska, all 14 days of the best vacation we have ever taken. We would go back tomorrow if we could. more
We stayed for 2 nights at Halcyon Heights just to get away , and we had a wonderful time. Steve was away that weekend, but Juxia was delightful and went out of her way to suggest restauants and experiences that we would enjoy. I stayed at Halcyon Heights in August for one week. I was treated like a King!. I did not have to stress out over anything. The location of this B&B was breathtaking! Looking out at the Homer Spit or the surrounding mountains was a tough choice to make. The neighborhood is quiet while only a few minutes from town .The rooms were beautifully decorated with spacious bathrooms. We felt as if we were in a "Honeymoon" suite! Stayed at Halcyon BB for 4 nights. Love the town of Homer. Our room was clean and the breakfasts prepared by Juxia were great!!! She is an excellent cook. Although Steve and Juxia do their best to make you comfortable Steve was far too persistent when trying to make his itinerary suggestions for you. An earlier reviewer called it "pushy"... more
We are pleased they loved our small town Homer and enjoyed our breakfasts and room. As for the itinerary suggestions complaints, We regret they felt that way. The vast majority of our guests regularly thank us for recommending one thing or another. We are sorry when that does not happen. Honestly, there is something magic and rewarding to be innkeepers....
