We stayed at Tolsona Lodge in late September 2011. We were there on a Tuesday and arrived to a sign that read closed Monday and Tuesday. with the help of our gps, and grumbling stomachs, we found the lodge on our way back from hunting.. We were the first customers for lunch so it took a little while, but our meals were great...fresh salad and good portions. very nice woman/cook as well. we will return....tony and sherri
Due largely in part to reviews of this and other hotels on Trip Advisor, we stayed one night at Tolsona Lake Resort while driving from Anchorage to Wrangell-St. Elias National Park. We used this as a base to explore Wrangell St. Elias National Park - located about 15 miles east of this motel/roadhouse. The two bedroom family suite was $149 per night - a reasonable rate.
