We didn't stay the night, just had a great meal! Wonderful service. I'll definitely be back.

This was by far the most fun and hospitable place on the trail and it wasn't from lack of competition(sorry to our group leader Zack who owns Sheep Mountain Lodge, next year you'll have to beat the prime rib... We stayed at Tolsona Lodge in late September 2011. We were there on a Tuesday and arrived to a sign that read closed Monday and Tuesday. The realized the error and let us stay and cooked dinner as well. It was a great experience. The views of the lake are amazing and we got to see Northern Lights! We stopped... More

Due largely in part to reviews of this and other hotels on Trip Advisor, we stayed one night at Tolsona Lake Resort while driving from Anchorage to Wrangell-St. Elias National Park. We arrived late and immediately sat down to have dinner at the restaurant. The menu was nothing fancy, but we enjoyed our meals. I had the fish (Alaskan halibut)... More

After hearing some bad reviews of other restaurants in this area, we were a little hesitant to try this establishment. In addition, our GPS kept telling us to look on the wrong side of the road (it's on the North side). However, the meals were well worth the small effort to drive 0.5 miles off the main road. The view... More

We used this as a base to explore Wrangell St. Elias National Park - located about 15 miles east of this motel/roadhouse. The two bedroom family suite was $149 per night - a reasonable rate. The room had sat TV, coffee maker, heater etc, but the owners demonstrate everything that is wrong with independent cheap owner mentalities. They hadn't changed... More

The 2 bedroom suites discussed in this review are no longer a part of the lodge property. You can see a picture of our motel rooms posted here on Trip Advisor if you have any questions about the conditions of our rooms. More
